                         Special Message from the Acting City Manager

As the acting city manager, my job is to ensure that the City maintains services, programs and facilities that meet the needs of the community in a fiscally responsible manner.  Along with all of our City employees, I take special pride in the work we do.  We are working hard to make sure that our neighborhoods are rebuilt and maintained with residents in mind, services are designed to meet the needs of a diverse populace, and new and current businesses find a welcoming home.

Under the leadership of the City Council, the employees of the City of Hamtramck work hard every day with our organizational values in mind:

* Provide exceptional service

* Act with integrity

* Treat others with respect

Whether you are a resident, a visitor, or an employee of a local business, I hope you will take the time to enjoy all that Hamtramck has to offer. If I can be of assistance to you, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Respectfully,

Erik D. Tungate, Acting City Manager
