Director: Jason Friedman

"Jason Friedmann comes to Hamtramck with 9 years of economic development and planning experience, and over 15 years of municipal experience.

Prior to working in Hamtramck, Jason was Senior Planner with Macomb County Planning & Economic Development where he worked to attract, retain and expand community businesses, redeveloped Brownfield sites, and implemented several regional projects bringing Detroit and Macomb County communities together.

In addition to his municipal experience, Jason is heading up the mixed-use redevelopment of an historic Detroit commercial building just outside of Hamtramck. 

Jason grew up in the diverse community of Mount Clemens, where his family has a long history of public service and community involvement. Since graduating from Michigan State University with a degree in Urban & Regional Planning he has lived in the City of Detroit."
