Hamtramck City Parks

HOW DO I RESERVE A PARK?

To reserve one of these six parks, please fill out the application here Park Rental Application or go to the Community and Economic Development page and download the park rental application. Bring in your fee and form to Hamtramck City Hall or Mail to City Hall, c/o Community & Economic Development. The City of Hamtramck does not manage Pulaski Park or Jayne Park.

We love our city parks! Hamtramck is fortunate to have a number of public parks operated by the City: Zussman Park, Veterans Park, Pope Park, Holbrook Garden Park, Sarah Garrett Park, and the new Salam Peace Park.

Zussman Park (above) is located across from City Hall, between Yemans and Evaline. It features benches, picnic tables, a Little Free Library, and hosts a number of community events throughout the year.

Veterans Park, which fronts on Joseph Campau south of Goodson, is Hamtramck’s largest park. It features a paved exercise trail, playground equipment, the veterans’ memorial (including the grave of Hamtramck’s namesake, Col. Jean-Francois Hamtramck), several historical markers, and facilities for tennis, futsol, soccer, volleyball, and more! It is also home of Historic Hamtramck Stadium, and is part of the Hamtramck Parks Conservancy.

Pope Park (above) is located on the corner of Joseph Campau and Belmont. It features seating areas, a statue commemorating the visit of Pope John Paul II to Hamtramck, and a mural.

Holbrook Garden Park (not pictured) is located on Alice Street near Holbrook School. It features a Little Free Library, benches, and a small pavilion.

Sarah Garrett Park (above) is located west of I-75 at 11361 Dequindre Street. It features a pavilion, seating, and open space.

Salam Peace Park (not pictured) is located on Trowbridge between Brombach and Lumpkin; it is a pocket park with benches and a small playground.
